*The Young and the Restless* Recap: Billy’s Lies and Damian’s Departure

The latest episode of *The Young and the Restless* brought viewers a mix of business deception, family tensions, and life-altering decisions.

Billy Abbott’s true motives came into question once again, while Nate Hastings faced warnings from his family about his newfound half-brother, Damian Kane.

Meanwhile, Damian made a firm decision about his future, choosing to leave Genoa City for good.

## **Billy’s Secret Agenda**

While in Paris, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) seemed frustrated by Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) repeated phone calls.

When he finally answered, Phyllis excitedly revealed that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) had agreed to join their new business venture.

Billy admitted that his decision to hire Daniel was largely influenced by her, but he reassured her that his business aspirations had nothing to do with revenge against Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Later, Phyllis shared her excitement about working with Daniel with her ex, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). However, Nick wasn’t as optimistic about Billy’s involvement, reminding Phyllis of his long history of self-serving behavior. He urged her to be cautious, suggesting that Billy might still be motivated by personal gain rather than genuine business goals.

Nick’s suspicions weren’t unfounded. That evening, once Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was asleep, Billy made a secretive phone call. He instructed an unknown contact to investigate Chancellor-Winters, specifically focusing on Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) leadership. This move strongly indicated that Billy wasn’t being completely honest about his business motives, despite his reassurances to Phyllis.

## **Nate’s Family Worries About Damian**

At the penthouse, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) opened up to his cousins, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), about the discovery that Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) was his half-brother. While Nate was eager to form a connection with Damian, Lily and Devon weren’t convinced, expressing concerns about potential red flags in Damian’s behavior.

Nate defended Damian’s hesitancy, explaining that given their family’s deception, it was understandable for Damian to be cautious. He speculated that because Damian had built his own success, he might have assumed he was being manipulated or scammed.

Despite Nate’s efforts to justify Damian’s cold attitude, Devon remained skeptical. He questioned why Nate was making excuses for someone who had shown little interest in being a part of their family. Lily also pointed out that, in the end, the choice to reconnect was entirely Damian’s.

Nate hoped that Damian would come around, especially for the sake of their mother, Amy (Valarie Pettiford). He believed that Damian’s forgiveness could bring her peace in her final days. However, Devon asked Nate to consider how he would feel if Damian refused to reconcile. Nate admitted his frustration over Damian’s seeming indifference toward Amy, especially since even Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) had shown some empathy toward her.

## **Damian Decides to Leave Genoa City**

At Crimson Lights, Damian met with his friend Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and confided in him about how overwhelmed he felt by recent revelations. Holden, understanding his turmoil, suggested that Amy’s past actions—though questionable—might have been done with good intentions.

Despite this, Damian found it difficult to forgive. Holden then proposed a solution: Damian should leave Genoa City and return to Los Angeles, putting all the drama behind him. After some thought, Damian agreed that distancing himself was the best course of action.

## **Audra’s Hidden Past with Holden**

Shortly after Damian left, Audra ran into Holden at Crimson Lights. Their interaction hinted at a secret past between them. Audra wasted no time in warning Holden to keep whatever had happened between them under wraps.

Holden, however, reminded her that he had once helped her when she was dealing with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Though their history was left vague, it was clear that Holden had done her a significant favor. After some back-and-forth, Holden reassured Audra that he would keep their past a secret, especially since he and Damian were leaving town.

## **A Brief but Memorable Encounter**

Before leaving town, Damian made a quick stop at Society, where he had an unexpected run-in with Lily. The two briefly crossed paths, with Damian accidentally bumping into her. Lily, unaware of his identity, casually advised him to be more careful before walking away.

As she left, Damian smiled to himself, suggesting that there might still be unfinished business between him and Genoa City—even as he planned to walk away from it all.

## **Final Thoughts**

Thursday’s episode of *The Young and the Restless* delivered plenty of intrigue and emotional dilemmas. Billy’s secret investigation into Chancellor-Winters raises serious doubts about his true motives, making Nick’s concerns about him even more valid. Meanwhile, Nate’s eagerness to connect with Damian was met with skepticism from Lily and Devon, and ultimately, Damian chose to leave rather than embrace his newly discovered family ties.

With Billy’s deception likely to unravel and Damian’s departure leaving lingering questions, the drama in Genoa City is far from over. Will Phyllis discover Billy’s true plans? Could Damian’s story take an unexpected turn? Fans will have to keep watching to see what happens next.
