When it comes to enduring life-threatening situations, The Young and the Restless veteran

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has seen it all. If Claire (Hayley Erin) thinks she’s had a tough life, she might want to sit down and take some notes from Nikki, because when it comes to hardships, Nikki has endured more than Claire can even imagine.

Yes, Claire was kidnapped—but Nikki? Nikki has been kidnapped so many times that Claire

probably wasn’t even born when the first incident happened. Claire had a psychotic aunt causing chaos in her life, but Nikki’s backstory is far darker. She was raised by an abusive father, a man who inflicted pain on her in ways that no child should ever have to endure. Claire worked her way up the corporate ladder, going from Executive Assistant to nanny and now back to an executive position. But Nikki? She started as a stripper, transformed into a respected high-society figure, climbed the ranks of the business world, and even became a candidate for State Senate. In short, Nikki has lived multiple lifetimes in the span of Claire’s existence, and that makes her more than qualified to give advice—whether Claire wants to hear it or not.

One of the ongoing issues in Claire’s life is Summer (Allison Lanier), Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) ex-wife and the presumed mother of young Harrison (Redding Munsell). Although Kyle and Summer have both seemingly erased Tara from their memories, Summer remains a persistent presence in their lives. Every time Claire and Kyle attempt to move forward and pretend Summer no longer exists, she pops back into the picture.

Kyle, recognizing how much this situation is affecting Claire, decides to take action. He approaches Summer in an effort to set some firm boundaries, making it clear that Claire is his priority now. His message? Stay out of their lives and let them be happy. Kyle’s devotion to Claire is unwavering—or at least, that’s what he’s telling himself. After all, this is the same devotion he once had for Summer before their relationship crumbled. Is Kyle really as committed to Claire as he claims, or is this just history repeating itself with a different leading lady?

Meanwhile, in another corner of Genoa City, tensions are flaring between Nate (Sean Dominic) and Lily (Christel Khalil). Nate is furious after learning that Lily went behind his back to have dinner with Damian (Jermaine Rivers). Her goal? To gather valuable intel for Amy (Valarie Pettiford). But Nate isn’t the only one upset—Devon (Bryton James) is also livid with Lily for making moves without consulting him.

At first, Devon’s anger is rooted in loyalty to Nate, standing in solidarity with him against Lily’s actions. But once that initial frustration fades, his curiosity takes over. Suddenly, he’s far more interested in what Lily actually discovered than in reprimanding her for her secrecy. As a result, Devon finds himself knocking on his sister’s door, demanding more information. The irony? Devon was so adamant that Lily had overstepped, yet now he’s benefiting from her initiative. If the information proves useful, his stance on Lily’s decision-making may soften considerably.

As for Nate, it’s only a matter of time before he follows the same path. He may be fuming now, but if there’s valuable intel to be gained, he’s not one to sit on the sidelines for long. Before all is said and done, he’ll likely be just as eager to uncover the details as Devon is.

Back in Nikki’s world, however, things are about to take a sinister turn. With Sharon and Phyllis already taken, the next target in this latest wave of kidn@ppings is none other than Nikki herself. Given her extensive history with danger, she’s no stranger to high-stakes situations, but that doesn’t mean this won’t test her resilience once again.

The question is, who is behind these kidn@ppings? Is this a personal vendetta, or is something much bigger at play? And with Nikki being the latest victim, will her wealth of experience help her survive yet another abduction? One thing is certain—when it comes to Nikki Newman, no challenge is too great, and if history has proven anything, it’s that she always finds a way to fight back.
