Kyle Abbott’s Custody War
Y&R spoilers for Friday, August 9 reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer are really going to war. When Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) got sick after trying a new restaurant, Kyle canceled his trip to Paris and came home.
Kyle then basically accused Summer of being a bad mother by taking their son to a new restaurant. The whole scene was laughable. Moving forward, Summer will take drastic action after Kyle’s temper tantrum.

Summer Newman’s Dirty Alliance
On Friday, August 9, fans will see Summer go to extremes to make sure she wins the custody case. Summer was warned by Phyllis to do things the legal way and not to play dirty.
Phyllis should know from experience! Back to Summer, she will turn to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for help.
Claire Grace’s Mess
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Friday, August 9 reveal that Kyle has already approached Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) to help him. Claire already told Kyle that she wouldn’t spy on Summer for him.
Then, Kyle once again begged Claire for help. With Summer turning to Victor, I can see the Newman patriarch getting Claire involved.
Going back to Summer, what will Victor do to help her? Could this “help” cost Summer custody of Harrison?

In Friday’s episode, Phyllis will get under Diane’s skin. Of course, Phyllis will probably mention Kyle, Summer, and Harrison. Phyllis and Diane will spar over the fractured family. I expect at some point for Diane and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to take sides.
Maybe Kyle and Summer will need character references for court or something. That could end up pitting Jack and Diane against each other – as well as their son.
Over with Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James), he is tying the knot with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway). Abby was nervous at first and wondered if marriage would ruin their relationship.
Maybe it means nothing, but I’m wondering if Devon and Abby will even make it down the aisle. This really seems like the calm before the storm and it will probably have to do with the Newman family and Chancellor Industries, so stay tuned.
