At Society, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) sought Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) help in taking down Ian Ward. Aware of Adam’s prior involvement with Ian, Victor reassured his son that the past was behind them and focused on the need to act decisively.
Victor proposed a strategy to dismantle Ian’s influence through a public smear campaign. By attacking Ian’s credibility, particularly the questionable legitimacy of his release and his role as a chaplain, Victor hoped to create widespread doubt about Ian’s character.
