On The Young and the Restless episode for Tuesday, March 4,

the intrigue surrounding the mysterious disappearance of Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) and Sharon (Sharon Case) reaches new heights.

As their friends and family work together to uncover the truth, the women are trapped in a basement, forced to confront their own pasts and each other.

Meanwhile, a web of suspicion and tension continues to unravel as the clock ticks on their uncertain fate.

Esther’s Concern About Sharon’s Disappearance

At Crimson Lights, Esther (Kate Linder) serves Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Summer (Allison Lanier) their drinks, noting that they could really use their caffeine fix.

The mood is heavy, and Esther confides that she’s been distracted by her growing concern for Sharon. She hasn’t heard back from her boss, which is unlike Sharon, and her worry is palpable. Nick tries to reassure Esther, claiming that Sharon is probably just at a spa, but Esther’s response is less than convincing. “I hope she’s enjoying herself,” she mutters, clearly feeling something is amiss.

As Esther walks away, Chance (Conner Floyd) arrives with more unsettling news. He informs them that there is no trace of Phyllis—her car is parked at the Athletic Club, but there’s no record of her leaving or taking a ride. Nick, still hoping for a logical explanation, suggests Phyllis might be off on a business trip, but Summer isn’t so sure. She points out that Phyllis wouldn’t have left without telling Daniel (Michael Graziadei), especially after harassing him about work just the day before.

Chance’s investigation deepens when he learns that Sharon’s whereabouts are equally mysterious. There’s no record of her checking into any spas in Sedona. As they discuss the possibility of Sharon lying or running away, Summer reminds Nick that this isn’t the first time Sharon has disappeared. Nick, still optimistic, doubts that Sharon is hiding, but Summer suggests it’s a possibility. Despite his concerns, Nick remains convinced that something much worse is at play. He’s 99.9% sure that this isn’t a coincidence, and the worry in his voice is evident.

Daniel and Billy’s Growing Fears

Meanwhile, Daniel meets with Billy (Jason Thompson) at his home, expressing his increasing frustration and concern. He hasn’t heard from his mother, and he’s troubled by the strange phone call she made to Summer. Both Daniel and Billy agree that Phyllis wouldn’t just take off without warning, especially after constantly reaching out to Daniel while he was in Paris. The timing of both Phyllis and Sharon’s disappearances around the same time raises suspicion. They both acknowledge that it’s no coincidence that two women who have a history of animosity would vanish together.

They both entertain the possibility of revenge, but they quickly dismiss it, remembering that Phyllis had claimed to be over any grudges. If it’s not revenge, then what could be happening? Billy wonders if they could have been kidnapped together, and Daniel considers the fact that their abductor might not fully understand the gravity of what they’ve done. Despite their suspicions, they’re still grasping for answers.

Phyllis and Sharon Confront Their Situation

Back in the basement of an unknown medical clinic, Phyllis and Sharon wake up to find themselves still trapped. Phyllis, ever the skeptic, voices her frustration, but Sharon is determined to find clues to their captor’s identity. The two women argue about their next move. Phyllis, cynical as always, suggests that their captor could be someone who is familiar with Sharon’s mental health history. Sharon, however, is focused on finding the location and clues that might help them escape.

As they continue their argument, Phyllis suggests that they could bargain for their freedom, pointing out that they are connected to powerful families, and someone will likely demand a ransom. Sharon, however, dismisses this idea, convinced that their abduction isn’t about money—it’s about forcing them to confront their pasts and their mistakes. Phyllis refuses to accept this notion, but Sharon remains firm in her belief that the person behind this wants them to work through their issues.

The tension rises as Phyllis accuses Sharon’s past psychiatric patients of being behind the abduction. Sharon retorts that their captor could be someone who is personally affected by their long-standing conflicts. Phyllis dismisses the idea, and the two women engage in a heated argument over who could be responsible, with both suggesting that the other’s children might be involved. Phyllis even accuses Sharon of being behind the entire situation, as Sharon has hurt her family countless times. Sharon counters by suggesting that someone who wants them to face their issues could have orchestrated the abduction, possibly even a family member.

Nick, Summer, and Chance Piece Together the Puzzle

Back at Crimson Lights, Nick asks Summer about her relationship with Chance, as the tension between them is still palpable. Summer admits that she’s finding it hard to fully trust Chance after the way he treated Daniel during the investigation, but she acknowledges that he’s been helpful in the current crisis.

Billy and Daniel join the group as Chance returns with another update: there’s still no trace of Phyllis or Sharon, and their phones appear to be disconnected. The mystery deepens, and the group wonders whether the two women are together, possibly trapped by someone with a personal vendetta. Billy and Daniel remain convinced that the situation is more than a coincidence, but they can’t yet figure out who would want to harm both of them.

The Riddle That Haunts Them

As Phyllis and Sharon continue their tense argument in the basement, the voice from the intercom interrupts them, issuing another riddle: “What is worth everything but costs nothing?” The women are left bewildered, with no clear idea of what the endgame is. Phyllis, at her breaking point, is ready to lash out, but Sharon tries to keep her calm. In the end, they sit in silence, wondering who is behind this twisted game and what their captor truly wants.

As the mystery continues to unfold, The Young and the Restless leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the next clue that will unlock the truth behind Phyllis and Sharon’s disappearance.
