The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) just can’t seem to find any common ground. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has pushed them to work out a custody solution for Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) sake, but Summer and Kyle haven’t been able to so far.
Of course, part of the problem is Summer’s fixation on Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) having access to Harrison and posing a threat.
That doesn’t make sense and makes us believe there’s another reason why Summer doesn’t want Kyle around his former flame.
Deep down, maybe Summer is trying to block Kyle from landing in Audra’s bed again.
Kyle repeatedly hooked up with Audra while he was still married to Summer, so she may still resent that fact.
That could be why Summer is so obsessed with pushing Audra out of the picture. Perhaps Summer still views Audra as “the other woman,” even if it’s on a subconscious level.
Whatever the case, there’s been a big focus lately on how Summer and Kyle truly loved each other once upon a time.
Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) urged Kyle to remember that when things got heated, so Y&R could be hinting at Kyle and Summer’s true feelings being buried just under the surface.
There could be some lingering desires behind all this hostility, so what if the show finally lets those desires erupt?
It could set the stage for Summer and Kyle to surrender to some anger-fueled passion.
There might be a situation where Kyle and Summer have a heated confrontation in a GCAC suite at some point.
If Summer and Kyle ever argue next to a bed, they might fall right into it together.
That could lead to Kyle and Summer working through some complex emotions in the aftermath.
A hot hookup might convince Summer and Kyle that maybe a custody solution is possible after all.
It could also lead to a tough blow for Claire since she’s crushing on Kyle – not to mention this would blow up Summer’s relationship with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) once he inevitably found out.
There’d be some good reasons for Y&R to let Kyle and Summer hit the sheets again.
Even if it doesn’t lead to a full-blown romantic reunion, Summer and Kyle could still make a mess of things and have to deal with this new development in the custody conflict.
