Thursday’s episode of General Hospital caught viewers off guard with its shocking and outrageous ending.
While arguing with Ava, Kristina (Kate Mansi) said she would testify against Ava (Maura West) in the custody trial.
Kristina took a step back when Ava reached out to grab her arm.
She ended up tripping over a black duffle bag left on the floor before she crashed into the window and fell out and into Metro Court’s pool.
The last shot of the episode was Kristina unconscious with cuts on her face as she floated in the pool as those lounging around the pool stared in horror.
Kristina is pregnant, carrying her sister’s child for her, and the show left fans wondering the fate of Kristina and the baby.
It set the show up for an interesting Friday episode, but fans were gobsmacked at the over-the-top fall.
One person wrote on Twitter, now known as X: “THE FALL…I can’t stop laughing……. that scream the reactions the belly flop.” Another added: “This show is so unserious! Cause what?”
“I knew an accident was coming but out the window?” a third fan said. A fourth commented: “If Kristina falling out of a window and doing a belly flop into the Metro Court’s pool (oh, and 9 months pregnant BTW!) on #GH on a Thursday. I can’t WAIT to see what they got coming tomorrow!”
A General Hospital fan pointed out that on the same date in 2022, Ava threw Esme off the parapet. “You know August has arrived when Ava tosses some fool into water,” they wrote.
Meanwhile, on Reddit, fans had similar thoughts. “Did not see that coming! Those windows are terrible quality,” one fan there joked.
Another declared: “That was an all time iconic moment.” Other comments on Reddit included just expletive-filled reactions, shocked at what they saw on their televisions.
In the preview for tomorrow’s episode, Joss (Eden McCoy), who’s the lifeguard at the Metro Court pool, jumps into the water to save Kristina.
