Emmerdale fans were left rather distracted after noticing a blunder involving Samson Dingle and Josh Cope.
Over in the soap this week, Samson (Sam Hall) is due to attend the plea hearing for his upcoming court case.
The youngster is facing jail time after he revealed the truth about being stabbed by Matty (Ash Palmsiciano).
As fans will recall, thug Josh (Osian Morgan) and Samson attempted to rob The Hide last month. The pair threatened Matty and things quickly escalated though,
when Josh pushed Samson into Matty – who was holding a knife – causing Samson to get stabbed.
Both Josh and Samon lied and said Matty deliberately caused the injury, and as a result Matty was sent to prison.
However, Samson finally came clean and confessed the truth about how Matty is innocent.
What’s more, scared of the troublemaker, he kept Josh’s name out of it. However, during Monday’s episode (August 5), Samson confronted Josh.
The pair ended up coming to blows, with Josh confessing all, including how he went after “freak” Matty because he was “asking to be robbed.” As Josh walked off, Samson could then be seen approaching him ready to fight him.
However, later on, the police turned up and arrested Samson for assault following a tip-off and after watching back residents’ doorbell footage. But fans couldn’t help but point out a major blunder.
Rushing to social media, fans pointed out how if the police looked at the doorbell footage, they would have clearly heard Josh confessing to everything. On a Facebook Emmerdale fan page, one person said: “Am sorry if I’m being stupid but if the police have checked Eric’s ring doorbell wouldn’t they have heard Josh confession?”.
Someone else added: “Apology accepted. Another weak piece of writing imo.” A third penned: “That’s exactly what I thought.” Another proclaimed: “Was thinking the same!”
