The shocking deaths of Andrew Searle, 65, and his wife Dawn, 56, have left their community in Les Pesquiès, France, devastated.

Their move to France seemed to be the start of a peaceful new chapter after Andrew’s lengthy career in the Serious Fraud Office, where he targeted financial crime rings, including those involved in money laundering.
Despite their recent move, the couple appeared to be happy in their new environment. Less than a day before their deaths, Andrew was seen shopping at a local newsagent in Villefranche-de-Rouergue. CCTV footage captured his last known moments as he bought a chocolate bar and some lottery tickets. There was no indication at the time that anything was amiss, making their deaths all the more shocking for those who knew them.
