Coronation Street fans are in for a tense and emotional week as multiple characters face potentially devastating fates.

With a dramatic crash set to shake the cobbles, one long-time resident could meet a tragic end, while another beloved character’s life hangs in the balance.
Meanwhile, two more departures have been confirmed, marking the end of an era for some fan-favorite stars.
David Platt Faces a Fight for His Life

Next week, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) finds himself in grave danger following recent conflicts with his old prison enemy Andy and dangerous criminal Harvey Gaskell.

After being threatened, David’s situation spirals further out of control, and by the following day, he is left clinging to life.

Amid the turmoil, David turns to alcohol, drowning his sorrows and stumbling through the streets in a drunken haze.
His wife, Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), watches in horror as he wanders into the road, completely unaware of the oncoming danger.
But David isn’t the only one caught in the chaos—pregnant Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) also steps into harm’s way.
Daisy and David Caught in a Devastating Crash
As Daisy storms out of the pub following an emotional confrontation, she unknowingly walks straight into the path of the crisis. Just as David stumbles onto the road, Daisy appears, and the two collide. In a desperate attempt to save her, David appears to shove Daisy out of the way, but tragedy strikes before either of them can react.
Both are hit by a speeding car, sending them flying and leaving them motionless on the ground. Shona, watching helplessly, screams in horror, while emergency services rush to the scene.

In a heart-stopping moment, spoilers suggest that David is bleeding out in the middle of the road as Detective Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) desperately calls for help. Daisy, too, appears gravely injured, with her stepmother, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), and partner, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), rushing to her side with a nurse.
The biggest question remains—will Daisy and her unborn child survive? And is this the end for David after almost 35 years on the cobbles?
Max Turner’s Fate Sealed as Actor Paddy Bever Exits
Meanwhile, there’s more turmoil for the Platt family as David’s stepson, Max Turner (Paddy Bever), faces sentencing for his role in the fire that nearly claimed multiple lives.
Having turned himself in and confessed to the crime, Max’s future now lies in the hands of the court. Given that Paddy Bever has already confirmed his departure from the soap, it’s highly likely that Max will be sentenced to prison, marking the end of his time on Coronation Street.
The big question is—will Max be given a lengthy sentence, or could there still be a chance for redemption?

Yasmeen Nazir Says Goodbye to Weatherfield
Another heartbreaking farewell is on the horizon as Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) prepares to leave the cobbles. Next week, she informs her granddaughter Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) that she has been offered a new job in London, signaling the beginning of her departure storyline.
With Shelley King already announcing her exit from the show after over a decade in the role, Yasmeen’s move appears to be the conclusion of her journey in Weatherfield.
Yasmeen has been a central figure in some of the soap’s most hard-hitting storylines, including her harrowing abuse at the hands of her late husband, Geoff Metcalfe. Her departure marks another major loss for Coronation Street, and fans will undoubtedly be sad to see her go.

Will David Platt survive, or is this truly the end of his time in Weatherfield? Can Daisy Midgeley and her unborn baby pull through after the horrific crash? And how will the Platt family cope with losing Max to prison?
