While theatre allows for deeper character exploration through rehearsals and repetition, working on EastEnders required a different approach. “In fast-moving dramas like EastEnders, you have to rely more on instinct because there isn’t as much preparation time,” he explained. “In theatre, I’m much stricter with sticking to the script and ensuring I follow the character’s journey precisely.”

Max’s time on EastEnders cemented his status as one of the most recognizable faces in British television, but he is now embracing new opportunities and personal growth. His transition to theatre has given him a fresh perspective on storytelling and a new appreciation for his craft.
