Not too long ago, Anna and Valentin were not just deeply in love, but also in a pretty solid relationship, recall General Hospital Spoilers. However, Charlotte’s attacks on Anna and Valentin’s attempts to keep them a secret from Anna had a terrible impact on their relationship, eventually tanking it.
However, recently, Anna started investigating Pikeman, and it once again made her world collide with Valentin’s. Although he is a prime suspect, and Anna knows he is guilty, her feelings have resurfaced and are now clouding her judgment. Previously, she was resolute in bringing Valentin to justice and freeing Jason from the FBI’s chokehold.
But, the recent General Hospital Spoilers reveal that Anna is backtracking. She did succeed in swiping the satellite phone, and found enough evidence on it to nail Val “ten times over”. However, when Jason asked her to give it to him, she refused. In the upcoming episodes, she tells Jason that she can’t let Cates arrest Valentin.
What is she thinking? Some GH updates hint that she wants to give Valentin a chance to escape. Interestingly, his daughter Charlotte just showed up in Port Charles out of the blue. Not only that, she even made peace with Anna. We wonder if this piece was fit into the puzzle to make way for their grand escape as a family unit.
There is a possibility that Anna might give Jason only part of the evidence that would help him score his freedom from Cates. But continue to withhold evidence that implicates Valentin. In her interaction with Charlotte, Anna mentioned that she too has made many mistakes in her life. Will she allow Valentin’s mistakes to slide, and offer him a second chance?
The two may decide to leave behind these cat-and-mouse games, and a life of crime and justice behind, and start fresh elsewhere as a family.
