Belle had romances with Phillip Kiriakis (last played by Jean-Paul Lavoisier) and Shawn Brady (last played by
Brandon Beemer), who she eventually married. She played Belle for five years until 2004. But she wasn’t done with
daytime, not by a long shot.
General Hospital Spoilers – Enter Maxie Jones
In 2005, Kirsten took over the role of Maxie Jones on General Hospital. She’s played the role on and off ever since and even earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2009. She eventually left in 2011 for medical reasons but returned several months later.
She’s taken several break from the role since then for various reasons. Storms also found romance with co-star Brandon Barash (ex Johnny Zacchara) whom she eventually married and had a daughter with. Storms and Barash divorced in 2016 although they remain friendly.

Storms had to take additional time off in 2021, she had to have a very large cyst removed from her brain. This time, Maxie wasn’t recast and her absence was explained by having her character move to Texas temporarily.
Even since she returned, Storms has been a steady presence in Port Charles and it doesn’t look like she’s leaving again anytime soon. Luckily, there’s always drama for Maxie to navigate so she will remain on our screens for the foreseeable future.
General Hospital Spoilers – What’s next for Maxie Jones
As mentioned above, Maxie has a lot on her plate. She recently discovered that Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is her brother.
Her son James West (Gary James Fuller) is quite a handful. Maxie also has two other children, Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher) and Bailey Jones (Miley & Riley Plonski) who keep her busy.
She’s also an executive at Deception, and is usually the voice of reason among many strong personalities.
In her personal life, Maxie is once again involved with computer hacker Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) who recently moved in with Maxie although they are currently in separate bedrooms.
