In a thrilling episode of General Hospital on ABC, Ava Jerome (Maura West) ends up behind bars, desperate to escape. Ava finds her potential savior in the form of handsome FBI agent John Cates (Adam Harrington). However, Ava’s intentions are far from pure. While she is imprisoned for a crime she didn’t commit, namely pushing Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) out of a window, Ava seeks to manipulate the situation to her advantage.
In another plot twist, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is struggling with a medical crisis, with his lithium medication mysteriously replaced by placebos. His behavior becomes erratic and he ends up making peace with his old friend, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Despite this, Ava hints that she knows who tampered with Sonny’s medication, but refuses to divulge the culprit’s identity on GH.
Meanwhile, Ava manages to manipulate John Cates into helping her, feeding him half-truths and outright lies. However, Cates might find himself becoming the fall guy for Ava’s crimes, should she manage to convince Sonny and Jason of his guilt. The episode leaves viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering how Ava will extricate herself from her predicament, and whether John Cates will pay the price for his involvement with her.
