Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is no stranger to playing the role of a secretive father figure in General Hospital.

Once again, he finds himself entangled in a complicated paternity situation—this time, stepping in as the supposed father of Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) baby.

While he has sworn to keep the truth under wraps, the real question remains: will he break his silence and confide in Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright)?

Jason’s Latest Secret

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has been fueling rumors all over Port Charles that Jason is the father of Sasha’s baby.

With so many people already believing the claim, Jason and Sasha ultimately decided to lean into the narrative rather than fight against it.

But this isn’t Jason’s first time pretending to be someone’s father. Longtime General Hospital fans will remember when he previously posed as Michael Corinthos’ (formerly Chad Duell) dad. Now, history is repeating itself, but with a twist—this time, the child actually belongs to Michael (presumably).

Back in the day, Jason had entrusted Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) with the truth about Michael’s real paternity. That secret eventually came out when Robin revealed it, shaking up the entire Corinthos family. Will Jason’s latest cover-up lead to a similar fallout?

Who Knows the Truth?

So far, Jason and Sasha have been careful about who they let in on their secret. They decided to tell Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), Jason’s son, about the situation. However, oddly enough, they did not extend the same courtesy to Jake (Hudson West), Jason’s other son, who is currently away at art school. Instead of hearing it from his father, Jake might end up learning the news through the Port Charles rumor mill—a risky move considering the stakes.

With so much riding on keeping this secret, Jason and Sasha have vowed not to let anyone else in on the truth. But how long can they really keep it hidden?

Carly’s Suspicion and Maternal Instincts

Enter Carly Corinthos—Jason’s lifelong best friend and someone who has an uncanny ability to sense when something isn’t right. Having been by Jason’s side since the days he claimed Michael as his son, Carly knows him better than almost anyone. The moment she talks to Jason about the baby, she is bound to pick up on his unease.

But Carly isn’t the type to let things go easily. Once she suspects Jason is hiding something, she will stop at nothing to get to the truth. The real question is: will Jason be able to hold firm and keep his promise to Sasha, or will Carly’s persistence force him to break his silence?

The Risk of Telling Carly

If Jason does decide to confide in Carly, there are both pros and cons to consider.

The Potential Downside

The more people who know a secret, the more likely it is to come out. Carly is known for her fiery temper and impulsiveness, especially when it comes to protecting her family. If she finds herself in a heated argument, particularly with Michael or Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), she might blurt out the truth before even realizing the consequences.

A revelation like this could lead to serious repercussions—Michael could lose custody of his other children if Willow finds out the truth and reacts poorly. If the wrong person overhears, it could send shockwaves through the entire Corinthos and Quartermaine families.

The Possible Upside

On the other hand, there are advantages to including Carly in the loop. As the baby’s grandmother, Carly would have a vested interest in protecting both Sasha and the child. She has a history of doing whatever it takes to secure her family’s best interests, and if Michael’s paternity being exposed threatens him in any way, Carly will fight to keep the secret just as fiercely as Jason and Sasha.

Additionally, Carly deeply loves Jason and has grown fond of Sasha. She would likely be thrilled to know that Michael has another child and might even help strategize ways to keep the truth from getting out.

Will Jason Confess to Carly?

The situation is a ticking time bomb, and Carly is not one to back down when she senses something is off. Jason may try to keep his promise to Sasha, but his track record suggests that once Carly starts pressing him for answers, he might not be able to hold out for long.
