When Sasha first came to town, she pretended to be the daughter of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) hired her to impersonate Nina’s next of kin.

After Sasha and Valentin’s deception was revealed, she genuinely regretted her actions. Nina was like the mother she always wished she had. Nina was furious but eventually forgave Sasha.
Sasha believes that her mother passed away. However, many fans have remarked that Sasha bears a striking resemblance to Celia Quartermaine (Sherilyn Wolter).
Long-time viewers may recall that Celia Quartermaine was a fixture on the show from 1983 to 1986. Around that time, she could have had a baby with Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond), Edward Quartermaine‘s (John Ingle) illegitimate son. That baby could easily be Sasha.
Sasha is currently the Quartermaine family cook. However, if the Qs discover her true identity, she could bond with her relatives, end up wealthier than she ever imagined, and officially be Cody Bell‘s (Josh Kelly) “sugar mommy.”
This plot twist would create loads of drama and give Mattsson the juicy storyline she deserves. And one that would be fun and upbeat, unlike the material she was given when she was trapped at Ferncliff.
The Qs are not only a core family in Port Charles but also dynamic and formidable. It would be riveting to watch how Sasha’s ending up as Celia’s daughter would play out. The last the Quartermaine clan and fans heard of Celia, she had returned to New York City to be with her family.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Wolter Would Happily Return To The Show
Recently, TV Insider spoke with actress Sherilyn Wolter ahead of an event to reunite the cast of Santa Barbara for their 40th anniversary.
Wolter played the evil Elena Nikolas on the memorable primetime soap. While on the pre-reunion show red carpet, TV Insider asked Wolter questions and showed her a photo of Sofia Mattsson.
“Oh, I see a resemblance,”
Wolter exclaimed.
“I loved being on General Hospital. I had a ball, and I met some great actors and made some great friends. I got to experience what it’s like to be famous, which is not always what it’s cracked up to be. I am still friends with Emma Samms” (who plays Holly Sutton).
The pair formed a real-life bond that mirrored the close friendship that Celia and Holly had on the show.
“It was very interesting and unusual for soap operas to have women who were friends and not rivals. We enjoyed that,”
She marveled.
Wolter expressed a desire to return to the show should the powers decide to create a familial connection between Celia and Sasha. They asked if she would be willing to come back to GH. “I’d be there,” she responded as she flashed a winning smile.
It would be interesting if both Sasha and Cody were forging relationships with their birth parents while developing a romance with each other at the same time. Sasha with Celia and Cody with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is the stuff great soaps are made of.
