According to the spoilers for Friday, July 28th, Michael Corinthos shocks Nina Reeves by requesting a meeting in her office. He reveals that with Carly Spencer incarcerated, he needs Nina’s help. Michael knows that Nina is close to Congressman Larry Makoni, who could influence the House oversight committee to investigate Agent John Kates. Nina is wary, questioning if Michael is ready to be implicated as her accomplice and worrying about the potential impact on Drew Quartermaine’s campaign.
Michael tries to reassure Willow Corinthos by downplaying the risks and highlighting the importance of rescuing Carly. He suggests that aiding Makoni would be a strategic first step, showing that Nina genuinely wants to make peace. Ultimately, Nina contacts Makoni and arranges a dinner meeting. Michael is pleased to learn that Nina will also bring someone special whom Makoni will adore.
Meanwhile, Christina Corinthos Davis is stunned when Molly Lansing Davis visits her to express her dissatisfaction over the Paris Hilton interview. Molly and TJ Ashford are also concerned about Christina’s apparent obsession with the interview, treating it like her own child. Molly asks Christina to sign documents relinquishing her parental rights, sparking a heated argument. Christina suggests that things have changed and questions Molly and TJ’s future together. Molly accuses Christina of wanting the baby for herself, leading to a tense standoff.
Natalia Ramirez arrives and thanks Christina for her generosity during the interview, despite Christina not agreeing with Natalia’s beliefs. Natalia appreciates Christina’s values and live-and-let-live approach. Later, Christina updates Dante Falconeri on Jack Brennan’s mysterious disappearance from Pentonville. Anna Devane suspects the WSB’s involvement and insists Dante examine Brennan’s records at General Hospital.
In the PCPD interrogation room, Sonny Corinthos confronts Carly about her arrest. Carly recounts the infractions and reveals how John Kates forced Jason Morgan to work undercover. Sonny, enraged, vows that Kates won’t imprison his daughter’s mother. Carly, scared, contacts Dante, informing him that Sonny is pursuing John. Sonny arms himself and prepares to take action, while Jason seeks to maintain control of the Mafia and support Carly in court.
Diane Miller advises Jason that Carly’s case is weak and that Jason’s presence in court is crucial. After Diane leaves, John arrives, warning Carly that she has dug her own grave. He proposes releasing Carly if Jason hands Sonny over to him. Jason must decide how to respond to this ultimatum.
Simultaneously, tensions rise between Molly and Christina as they attempt to resolve their differences. Alexis Davis offers Christina advice, but the siblings’ relationship remains strained. As the drama unfolds, Sonny’s rage escalates, leading to potential danger for those around him. Anna devises a new theory that could shift the balance, and the situation grows increasingly precarious.
