With the recent departure of one of General Hospital’s most notorious villains,

Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), there’s now an opening for a new (or familiar) face to take over as the next major antagonist in Port Charles.
While the town is still dealing with the lingering threats posed by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison),
neither of them has solidified their place as a true force of chaos. Sidwell remains an enigma, and Drew’s scheming has left viewers more frustrated than intrigued.

If ever there was a time to bring back a villain with real impact, that time is now. Enter Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roché).

Longtime viewers of General Hospital are well-acquainted with Jerry’s long list of crimes, ranging from kidnapping to armed robbery and even multiple attempted murders.

His return would undoubtedly send shockwaves through the town, stirring up trouble for almost every family in Port Charles. While no one in town would welcome his presence, there’s a chance that his niece, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), might play a key role in his potential return.
Ever since Jack (Ted King) recruited Josslyn into the WSB, there have been whispers about his true motives. Conversations between Jack and Collette (Mercedes Lopez Renard) have only fueled speculation that Josslyn’s involvement with the WSB is part of a much bigger plan. One possibility? Jack believes Josslyn may be the key to tracking down Jerry Jacks, who was last reported to have escaped from prison. Given their blood connection, Jack may see Josslyn as the perfect tool to get close to her uncle and extract valuable information.
Despite Josslyn never truly bonding with her uncle—largely due to both Carly (Laura Wright) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher) warning her about his dangerous nature—there’s no denying their familial link. If Jerry is out there somewhere plotting his next move, Josslyn’s involvement in the WSB could put her directly in his crosshairs. It’s easy to imagine a scenario where Jack and the agency use her as bait to lure Jerry out of hiding, whether she’s aware of it or not. The risk? She could end up in grave danger if Jerry decides to manipulate their family connection to his advantage.

What makes this theory even more plausible is a recent interview with Sebastian Roché, where he was asked about the possibility of reprising his role as Jerry Jacks. While promoting the second season of 1923, Roché hinted at a potential return to General Hospital, stating, “Never say never.” Given the recent resurgence of classic characters—such as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson)—it’s not far-fetched to think that Jerry could be next in line for a comeback.
If Jerry were to return, the ripple effects would be immense. Carly would undoubtedly go into protective mode to keep Josslyn away from him, while Jax, if he were to reappear, would likely fight to keep his daughter safe. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would have yet another enemy to contend with, and the WSB’s involvement could indicate a much larger, more sinister plot unfolding behind the scenes.
One thing is for certain: Port Charles thrives on drama, and few villains have delivered as much of it as Jerry Jacks. His calculated, menacing presence would bring back the high-stakes storytelling that longtime fans of General Hospital crave. If his return is in the works, viewers can expect an intense and thrilling ride ahead.
