The February 19, 2025, episode of General Hospital delivered a shocking and intense showdown,

as Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) finally confessed to his string of digitalis-induced murders.
What started as an unsettling revelation quickly escalated into a life-or-death situation, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.
Cyrus Confesses—But It’s Far From Over

Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) found herself face-to-face with Cyrus after he unexpectedly showed up at her door.

Unable to turn him away, she had no choice but to let him inside, where their tense conversation began.

Cyrus immediately questioned why she had been asking around about him, forcing Elizabeth to think quickly on her feet.
In an effort to protect herself, she shifted the suspicion onto Lucky Spencer (currently portrayed by temporary recast Guy Wilson), claiming that he was the one investigating Cyrus. She insisted that she was simply trying to clear his name.
Her strategy seemed to work, as Cyrus opened up about his twisted reasoning behind the murders. He revealed that he saw comatose patients as suffering souls who needed to be set free—an eerie justification for the digitalis poisonings. The topic of his mother came up, with Cyrus blaming his brother Martin (Michael E. Knight) for prolonging her suffering over the years.
Then, Elizabeth pressed him about why he had targeted Sam McCall (formerly played by Kelly Monaco). In a chilling revelation, Cyrus admitted that her murder was an act of revenge. He claimed that Sam’s liver transplant had only served to keep Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) alive in her coma rather than allowing her to find peace.

As for Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), Cyrus revealed that he had to silence him. In a haunting flashback, viewers saw Cyrus cutting the medical bracelet from Dex’s lifeless body in the morgue—a shocking moment that briefly brought Hofer back to screens.
A Deadly Turn: Elizabeth Becomes the Next Target
Cyrus seemed pleased that Elizabeth was listening so intently to his reasoning. However, his demeanor quickly changed as he assumed that she would understand what had to happen next. Without hesitation, he pulled out a syringe filled with digitalis, making it clear that she was his next victim.

Realizing the imminent danger, Elizabeth tried to escape—but just as Cyrus was about to inject her, Lucky burst through the door. He immediately ordered Cyrus to back off, giving Elizabeth a chance to flee.
With Elizabeth out of harm’s way, Cyrus turned his full attention to Lucky, deciding this was an even better outcome. A struggle ensued between the two men, both fighting for control of the deadly syringe. But in a shocking turn of events, Cyrus managed to plunge the needle into Lucky’s thigh.
Will Lucky Survive?

The episode ended on a tense cliffhanger, leaving viewers wondering whether Lucky will make it out alive. A preview for the February 20 episode shows Elizabeth desperately performing chest compressions on Lucky, pleading with him to hold on.
The stakes couldn’t be higher, and General Hospital fans are now anxiously waiting to see if Lucky Spencer will survive Cyrus’s deadly attack. With Jonathan Jackson slated to return to the role soon, could this mean that Lucky will recover—or will his return be part of a more tragic storyline?
