Upcoming scenes in Emmerdale will see Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) start to question John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth)

after Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) makes an important observation regarding a recent murder.

Tensions have been running high following the shocking death of Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day). Aaron, who had previously assaulted Anthony,

initially believed he was responsible for his death.

However, unbeknownst to him, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) had actually killed her father while Aaron was away from the scene.

Before Aaron learned the truth about Ruby’s involvement, he and John worked together to cover up what they thought was his crime.

With his military background, John assured Aaron that he was better equipped to handle the disposal of Anthony’s body. However, things soon took a turn when John refused to reveal where he had hidden the body, leaving Aaron in the dark.

A Pact Forms – But Will It Last?

Once the truth about Anthony’s murder came to light, a secret pact was formed between several characters, including Chas, Aaron, John, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), and Caleb Miligan (William Ash). The group agreed to keep Anthony’s death a secret to protect Ruby and themselves.

However, their fragile agreement was recently put at risk when Caleb attempted to frame Cain as part of his own personal vendetta. This betrayal sent shockwaves through the group, adding to the growing uncertainty over whether their pact could truly hold strong.

Chas Begins to Question John

In an upcoming episode, Chas and Aaron are seen discussing whether they should confess to the police. As the conversation unfolds, Aaron reveals a crucial piece of information—he still doesn’t know where Anthony’s body is.

Chas is immediately taken aback by this revelation. She finds it strange that John has never shared the location, and this fuels her suspicions about his true motives. Her unease quickly spreads to Aaron, who starts to reconsider his trust in John.

Sensing that tensions are mounting, John decides to take control of the situation. He gathers the group at a secret location and delivers a firm warning—if one person breaks their silence, they will all go down together. Understanding the need for trust, John finally discloses the location of Anthony’s grave, seemingly hoping to ease Aaron’s concerns.

Caleb Decides to Fall in Line—But Ruby Struggles

Meanwhile, Caleb pays a visit to the pub, where he tells Cain that he’s willing to put an end to his reckless behavior. He acknowledges that John was right about the importance of sticking together, and for now, it seems he’s willing to cooperate.

However, while the rest of the group is trying to maintain their pact, Ruby is silently crumbling under the weight of her actions. Unbeknownst to Caleb and the others, she has returned to the location of her father’s grave.

As she stands at the burial site, the enormity of what she has done finally overwhelms her, and she breaks down in tears.

What Happens Next?

With suspicions growing, tensions mounting, and emotions running high, it remains to be seen how long this fragile pact will last. Will Chas and Aaron act on their doubts about John? Can Ruby keep her secret hidden, or will her guilt force her to confess?

As the drama unfolds in Emmerdale, one thing is certain—the truth has a way of coming out, and when it does, the consequences could be devastating for everyone involved.
