Emmerdale viewers are growing increasingly concerned for Aaron Dingle as his relationship with John Sugden takes a troubling turn.

Fans of the ITV soap have been watching in suspense as John’s behavior becomes more manipulative, particularly after the murder of Anthony Fox in January.

The latest developments have left many wondering if Aaron is in danger, with speculation mounting that John may be a serial killer.

During the episode that aired on February 26, Aaron took a walk with his mother, Chas Dingle,

and their conversation quickly turned to Anthony’s body. Shocked to learn that Aaron had no idea where the body was buried, Chas suggested they should go to the police.

This revelation prompted Aaron to confront John, demanding answers about the burial site.

John, however, remained evasive. He implied that it was better for Aaron not to know too much, further raising suspicions.

As tensions rose, Aaron suggested they report Anthony’s death to the authorities, but John reacted with hostility, growing increasingly irritated at the mere suggestion of outside interference.

“I thought you loved me,” John said to Aaron, manipulating the situation before adding, “I put my life on the line to save you, just you remember that.”

In a bid to restore trust, John later arranged a secret meeting involving everyone connected to the cover-up, including Aaron, Chas, Caleb, Cain, and Ruby. He insisted that if anyone deviated from the plan, the entire cover-up would unravel. To win back their trust, he finally disclosed the location of Anthony’s grave in the woods. The revelation left Ruby visibly shaken.

Following the meeting, Aaron and John visited the site together, leading to a frank discussion about their recent troubles. Aaron admitted to feeling guilty for doubting John, and his partner took the opportunity to share stories from his army service, attempting to further manipulate the situation. Aaron apologized once more, and John simply responded with an unsettling, “Okay.”

Concerned about his mother’s perception of John, Aaron tentatively asked, “I don’t want you thinking badly of Mum.” John, ever the charmer, reassured him, “I think we’ve established the ground rules; it’s good you have someone fighting your corner. I just think I’m going to have to work a bit harder to win her over.”

While John’s words may have reassured Aaron, Emmerdale fans remain unconvinced. Many have taken to social media to express their fears that John is far more dangerous than he lets on. Some believe he has not only killed Anthony but also Nate Robinson, who is presumed dead after disappearing in the lake. There are even growing concerns that Aaron himself could become John’s next victim.

One viewer wrote on social media, “If Aaron said, ‘No, John, I don’t love you,’ would that crack John’s calm facade? Remember Meena? Would that draw out John’s psycho?”

Another fan speculated, “Definitely making John a serial killer with the way he’s acting. Still not sure of the point in it. Nobody wants another Aaron breakdown.”

A third viewer was more excited about the potential twist, saying, “If John is a killer, this gives us a whole new Aaron storyline. I can’t, I’m so excited! #Emmerdale.”

Others are deeply unsettled by John’s actions and his treatment of Aaron. One comment read, “I reckon John killed Nate and possibly Anthony. Why can’t Aaron ever be happy?” Another viewer suggested, “#Emmerdale, is it just me or is John gaslighting Aaron? He seems to be rather controlling and playing the ‘Do you love me?’ card whenever he feels threatened.”

With speculation running rampant, Emmerdale fans are left questioning what’s next for Aaron and John. Could Aaron be in real danger? Is John responsible for more deaths than the village realizes? As the tension escalates, it seems only a matter of time before the truth is revealed. Viewers will have to keep watching to see how this gripping storyline unfolds.
