After months of living away from home, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) is finally returning to Albert Square, but his homecoming is set to take a dark turn.

The troubled teen, who has been staying with Zack Hudson (James Farrar), is back under the care of his mother, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), but will his old demons resurface?
A Difficult Past
Viewers will remember that Tommy was at the heart of a harrowing child-to-parent abuse storyline last year.

Struggling with intense anger issues, he lashed out at Kat repeatedly, leaving her physically and emotionally drained.

For a long time, she concealed the truth, unwilling to admit the full extent of what was happening behind closed doors.

However, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) became increasingly concerned for Kat’s safety and, more importantly, for the well-being of Tommy’s younger twin brothers, Bert and Ernie. Fearing for their safety, Jean made the difficult decision to contact social services, which led to Tommy being placed in temporary care.
Kat was heartbroken, but Zack stepped in as a foster parent, taking Tommy under his wing. Since then, the young boy has been living with him, trying to work through his issues.
A Joyous Return Turns to Worry
This week, Kat and her partner Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) are thrilled when they receive the news they’ve been hoping for—Tommy is allowed to move back home. Their social worker assures them that Tommy has made progress, and Kat is eager to reunite her family.
However, while Alfie focuses on the positives, Kat’s excitement is tinged with anxiety. She confesses to Alfie that she’s worried about how things will play out once Tommy is back under their roof. She desperately wants to believe that he has changed, but deep down, she fears a repeat of the past.

A New Hope—or the Calm Before the Storm?
When Tommy finally returns, it seems that he has turned over a new leaf. He appears to be in a better place mentally and emotionally, showing a newfound maturity. Part of his progress, it seems, has been his efforts to help a friend he has been speaking to online.
However, the fragile peace is soon shattered when Tommy asks to use his computer to reach out to this friend. Kat is forced to reveal a difficult truth—she had to get rid of his computer while he was away.
Tommy is clearly upset by this revelation, but Kat quickly tries to smooth things over by promising to get him a new one.
Will Tommy’s Dark Side Resurface?
While Kat is eager to rebuild her bond with her son, there is an undeniable tension in the air. Could this small disagreement be the spark that reignites Tommy’s dark temper?

The last time Tommy lost control, Kat found herself trapped in a dangerous situation. Now, with him back in the family home, is she once again at risk?
With emotions running high and old wounds still fresh, Kat will need to tread carefully as she navigates her son’s return. Can she keep their home a safe and loving place, or is history doomed to repeat itself?
Viewers will have to tune in to EastEnders to find out how this emotional storyline unfolds.
