Fans of Coronation Street have much to look forward to as the show prepares to bring back a familiar face while introducing two exciting new characters.
James Bailey, who was previously portrayed by Nathan Graham, will return to Weatherfield next week (March 17),
now played by Jason Callender. His arrival is set to stir things up as he reconnects with his family and navigates life on the cobbles.
James, who had been living in the United States with his partner Danny since 2022,
returns to check in on his sister Dee-Dee (Channique Sterling-Brown) and find his place within the family once again.

He describes James as determined, and despite being the “little brother,” James is known for his playful pranks and, most importantly, his deep love for his family. He also shares that James has a strong desire to be a father, adding a layer of depth to his storyline. James’ return isn’t the only new development on Coronation Street, as two more characters will soon join the fray. Carl Webster (played by Jonathan Howard) and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) will make their debuts in the coming weeks, promising to create plenty of drama in Weatherfield.
