A shocking twist is set to rock Coronation Street as one of its most iconic characters, David Platt, finds himself in a life-threatening situation.

The beloved character becomes the target of a sinister revenge plot, leading to a devastating incident that will leave fans questioning his fate.

David, who has been entangled in a dangerous feud with gangster Harvey Gaskell, finds himself in deep trouble after getting his hands on money that originally belonged to Harvey.

The cash was initially given to David’s sister, Sarah Platt, by Harvey’s brother, Damon Hay.

However, David’s attempts to resolve the issue take a dark turn when his former prison acquaintance, Andy Garland, proves to be untrustworthy.

Teaming up with David under the guise of helping him secure funds, Andy has instead aligned himself with Harvey’s criminal network, putting David in even greater peril.

The drama escalates as upcoming episodes reveal that David rushes to court, arriving just in time to support his son, Max Turner. Max, who previously set fire to the Platt family home in an attempted insurance scam, anxiously awaits his sentencing. With family members Shona and Lauren Bolton present, tensions run high as the judge delivers a verdict. Given the personal nature of the crime, viewers are left to wonder whether Max will receive a lenient sentence.

However, Max’s court hearing is not the only concern for David. As he closes up the salon later that day, Andy appears, wielding a knife and delivering a chilling message—Harvey wants David dead to claim his life insurance payout. Although visibly shaken, David chooses to keep his distress hidden. Over a tense meal at the Rovers Return, he joins his siblings, Nick and Sarah, but his erratic behavior raises alarms as he downs vodka after vodka.

Shortly afterward, David, heavily intoxicated, stumbles into the road. Just as Shona spots him and rushes toward him, a speeding car barrels towards David. In a desperate attempt to save Daisy Midgeley, who is also in the vehicle’s path, David pushes her aside, only to be struck himself. The impact leaves both David and Daisy critically injured, placing their lives—and Daisy’s unborn child—at serious risk.

Freshly released scenes from Coronation Street provide deeper insight into this terrifying storyline. In a shocking revelation, it appears David may have deliberately orchestrated his own demise. In a chilling teaser, he is seen staring at a clock, ominously declaring that he will not make it through the day. The unsettling footage shows a bloodied David fighting for his life in the hospital, as medical professionals work tirelessly to save him. This follows an earlier preview in which David grimly acknowledges that he expects to be killed by a hitman before the day is over.

Beyond the intense drama surrounding David’s apparent death, another major plotline is set to unfold in Weatherfield. The return of notorious villain Rob Donovan adds another layer of suspense. Having previously donated a kidney to his brother, Rob makes a dramatic comeback, seeking the help of his sister, Carla Connor, in an attempt to evade authorities. As armed police surround the house, tensions explode into chaos, culminating in a high-stakes armed siege. With a gunshot ringing out, viewers are left on the edge of their seats, wondering who will fall victim to Rob’s desperate bid for freedom.

The upcoming episodes promise a rollercoaster of emotions, as David’s fate hangs in the balance and a dramatic showdown ensues between Rob and the authorities. Will David survive the horrific hit-and-run, or has he sealed his own fate? And as Rob’s return brings further turmoil to Weatherfield, will Carla be able to escape the clutches of her fugitive brother? Fans of Coronation Street won’t want to miss these heart-stopping episodes as the drama reaches an all-time high.
