Emmerdale fans have taken to Twitter to defend a character who is being blamed for spiking incident.
Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) has been left as a victim of a spiking incident – which has led her to point fingers at her Kim Tate – even though it was her own mother,
Rose Jackson, who was introduced earlier this year as the long-lost ex-wife of Will Taylor.
Although Dawn was the own who was spiked, she was not the person who it was intend for.
Dawn’s mam Rose Jackson (played by Christine Tremarco), had everything set for her plan to “woo” Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and break up his and Kim’s marriage.
When she successfully annoys Kim with loud music and forces her to go into her office, she was finally able to pull off her masterplan by being alone with Will.
Innocently she poured herself and Will a non-alcoholic drink to celebrate Dawn calling her a mam but quickly made up an excuse for him to give her time to spike his glass.
When Will returns, the pair are just about to take a sip but suddenly Kim and Dawn appear. Then all four of them have glasses with the drink and due to them being mixed up – Rose cannot track of whose drink was spiked.
Dawn gets a phone call from the hospital about Evan which leads her to rush out the house and leave the trio in the kitchen. Hoping it is not Kim’s drink that is not spiked, Rose accidently spills Kim’s drink but her ‘hero’ attitude does not last long as she cannot help but take the opportunity to make Kim jealous about her and Will’s past.
Some time later Will announces that he is not feeling well and Rose thinks her plan has worked until he later wakes up feeling better, claiming it was indigestion. Rose then feels worried and frustrated that she has no clue who she has the spiked until Will receives a phone call to say that Dawn is in hospital.
After taking a drug test and lying to the police about her whereabouts before the accident, the family arrive back home and Dawn calls for family meeting to announce that she knows she was spiked by someone in the room with her.
As fingers point at each member and guesses to why someone would drug her – Kim is labelled as the villain due to her history of spiking Dawn to prove to social services she was an unfit mother. As Kim pleas for her innocence – it falls on deaf ears as no one believes her.
Can Rose get away with it or will she say something? Thankfully, fans on Twitter came to Kim’s her defence. Jacquline said: “It is awful that the fingers points at Kim when she’s innocent, love Queen Kim.” Cocacolakid96 said: “I knew Rose was too thick to even get spiking right. Stupid woman.
Wini’sWorld added: “I really want this woman to get found out, and for her silly plans to backfire.”
