Though clearly disappointed, Thiebaud keeps her composure, responding with a forced cheerfulness: “Oh, OK, you’re going to Hawaii with all your mom friends.” Attempting to cover up her letdown, she continues, “I love Hawaii, yeah. Yeah, we’ll… we’ll do something later. OK, bye.”
