The latest episode of Hollyoaks brings an emotional and intense confrontation as Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber-Lane) returns to Chester,

determined to uncover the truth behind her daughter Mercedes McQueen’s (Jennifer Metcalfe) shocking confession.

With Mercedes currently behind bars after admitting to the murder of the sinister Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti), the drama unfolds as Myra pushes for answers.

However, what Mercedes doesn’t know is that she has been protecting the wrong person all along—the true killer is Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield).

Myra Demands the Truth

Mercedes is facing a tough battle with her health as she undergoes treatment for bowel cancer.

But that hasn’t stopped her from making a life-altering decision—confessing to a murder she did not commit. Believing that she was shielding her cousin Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin), Mercedes took responsibility for Abe Fielding’s death. Now, Myra is back and determined to get to the bottom of her daughter’s actions.

With the help of Dr. Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi) and Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson), Myra stages an intervention, hoping to force Mercedes to come clean about who she is protecting. As emotions run high, Myra refuses to back down until she gets the truth, making for a gripping and heart-wrenching showdown between mother and daughter.

Therapist Tommy’s Attempt to Mend Bridges

Elsewhere in the village, therapist Tommy (Brandon Fellows) is making an unexpected appearance after his recent misstep with Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter). Tommy had previously crossed a professional boundary by attempting to kiss his client, but now he is trying to make amends. His return sparks curiosity as he navigates the fallout of his actions and attempts to regain trust.

Jez Blake’s Dark Secrets Surface

Meanwhile, Martha Blake (Sherrie Hewson) grows increasingly concerned about her son Jez, especially after discovering him poring over a book containing details and photos of his past victims. However, her relief is momentary when she learns that Jez is now seeking therapy with Tommy. But will therapy be enough to keep his dark tendencies at bay?

During a session, Jez opens up about his troubled past, specifically his complex relationship with his twin brother Patrick. Jez reveals that Patrick stole the love of his life, a wound that still haunts him. Seeking guidance, he takes Tommy’s advice and attempts to repair his relationship with John Paul McQueen (James Sutton). In a bold and unexpected move, Jez stages a grand romantic gesture—getting down on one knee outside the hospital and proposing to John Paul. The question remains: will John Paul accept, or will Jez’s dark past come back to haunt him?

Sienna and Cleo’s Bond Strengthens

As tensions rise in other corners of the village, Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) and Cleo McQueen are growing closer. The two have been confiding in one another, forging a deepening connection. When Cleo invites Sienna to be her date for an upcoming event, it seems like the start of something new. However, complications arise when Cleo has an awkward run-in with her ex, Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed), who is visibly distressed about a voicemail he left. The encounter leaves Cleo questioning the past and what Joel might be hiding.
