To make matters worse, she had also been misusing his credit card, indulging in expensive purchases without his knowledge or consent. The actress went on to describe the relationship as something akin to a forbidden romance. Steve, by all logic, should not be getting involved with Cassie, given her current reputation and the risks associated with being with her. However, despite this, he finds himself drawn to her, unable to resist her charm.
“No one is speaking to Cassie right now,” Sweeney pointed out. “She’s been completely ostracized, treated like she doesn’t belong on the cobbles anymore. And yet, here’s Steve—he knows better, but he can’t help himself. There’s something between them that’s undeniable. Yes, there’s a lot of lust, but there’s also something deeper, a genuine fondness and an underlying connection that’s impossible to ignore.”

Sweeney spoke highly of her co-star Simon Gregson, calling him an absolute delight to work with. “He’s just brilliant,” she enthused. “He’s got this incredible sense of humor, and he’s a genuinely good person. Every day on set with him is filled with laughter. It doesn’t feel like work at all. I just adore him.”
