EastEnders fans are in for an emotional rollercoaster as Zack Hudson (James Farrar) receives shocking news from his ex, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty),

at a time when his life is already spiraling out of control. Next week’s episodes promise high drama as Zack is hit with multiple bombshells, leaving him reeling.

Whitney left Walford last year with their newborn daughter, Dolly, after discovering that Zack had betrayed her by cheating with her best friend, Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).

Since then, he has been making regular off-screen visits to see his daughter, but his life in Albert Square has been far from smooth sailing.

Zack has been struggling in the aftermath of the tragic death of his best friend, Martin Fowler (James Bye).

The two had shared a strong bond, and Martin’s sudden passing in the Queen Vic explosion left Zack devastated.

As if that wasn’t enough, just before his death, Martin teased Zack about a past fling with Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington), the sister of Phil Mitchell. Martin jokingly asked whether Zack could be the father of Nicola’s son, Barney (Lewis Bridgeman)—a question that, to Zack’s horror, turns out to have some truth to it.

In next week’s episodes, Zack’s world is turned upside down when Barney is rushed to the hospital due to complications from an injury he sustained in the explosion. Overcome with worry, Zack presses Nicola for answers, and she finally admits that Zack is, in fact, Barney’s biological father. The revelation leaves Zack in shock as he struggles to process the truth about his son.

Consumed by this newfound knowledge, Zack returns to Walford to drown his sorrows. But before he has a chance to fully come to terms with everything, he receives an unexpected and distressing phone call from Whitney. The details of the conversation remain under wraps, but whatever Whitney tells him only adds to his troubles. Given their complicated history, it’s possible that Whitney’s news could have a lasting impact on Zack’s life.

Meanwhile, fans of Shona McGarty will be pleased to hear that Whitney may not be gone from Walford forever. The actress, who played Whitney for 16 years, has hinted that she could return to EastEnders in the future. Speaking in a recent interview, she shared her love for the show and the strong connections she built with the cast and crew over the years. While she confirmed that she won’t be returning just yet, she left the door open for a possible comeback.

As Zack faces an uncertain future, his relationships with both Whitney and Nicola are bound to change. With the revelation of his son and Whitney’s cryptic news, the coming weeks promise intense drama and emotional turmoil for Zack.

EastEnders fans will have to stay tuned to find out how Zack copes with these shocking developments and what Whitney’s phone call means for his already turbulent life.
