The drama in The Young and the Restless continues to heat up as the episode airing Wednesday, February 26,

brings strategic power plays, emotional turmoil, and unexpected reunions.

Victor Newman once again proves that he prefers to orchestrate events from behind the scenes, Adam Newman struggles with his emotions,

and a surprising return could shake up Genoa City.

Victor’s Strategy: Let Michael Take the Fall

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has never been one to get his hands dirty when he can manipulate someone else into doing it for him.

This time, his target is Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc). Despite the many times Victor has used and discarded him in the past, Michael still finds himself entangled in Victor’s schemes.

Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracy Bregman) isn’t happy about her husband’s continued loyalty to Victor. After all, Victor has a long history of mistreating Michael, blaming him for problems that weren’t his fault, and using him as a scapegoat. However, Michael remains caught in Victor’s web, unable to resist the pull of his influence.

Now, Victor is putting Michael to work once again. He wants to help Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), but only if it benefits him in the long run. To avoid potential fallout, he shifts the responsibility to Michael. If the situation turns out favorably, Victor will undoubtedly take credit for it. But if things go south, Michael will bear the blame. It’s a classic Victor Newman move—one that has worked for him time and time again.

Adam’s Desperate Bid to Reunite with Chelsea

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has been struggling with his feelings for Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but after a Valentine’s Day dream about her, he seems to accept that a reunion with Sally is unlikely. Instead, he shifts his focus back to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), convinced that they should give their relationship another try.

However, Chelsea isn’t as enthusiastic about the idea. She has been through a rollercoaster with Adam, and his sudden desire to reunite seems less about love and more about proving something—to himself and everyone else. Adam insists that rekindling their relationship is what’s best for their son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

But is Adam truly acting in Connor’s best interests, or is he using his son as an excuse to fulfill his own emotional needs? Chelsea seems to sense the latter and isn’t rushing to jump back into Adam’s arms. That won’t stop Adam, though. He is determined to show Chelsea that they should be a family again—whether she agrees or not.

A Mysterious Return to Genoa City

Another intriguing development unfolds as Damian (Jermaine Rivers) makes a decision that could have major consequences. Initially, he was so hesitant to reconnect with his mother, Amy (Valarie Pettiford), that he sent Holden (Nathan Owens) to meet her in his place. However, something has shifted, and Damian now sees Genoa City as a place where he might want to stay.

His change of heart is suspicious, to say the least. Is there more to his sudden decision to return than just reconnecting with family? His interest in Lily Winters might have something to do with it. Whatever his motivations, his presence in town is bound to stir up drama.

What’s Next for Genoa City?

With Victor pulling the strings behind the scenes, Adam desperately trying to recreate the past, and Damian’s unexpected arrival, The Young and the Restless is set for another thrilling episode. Will Michael finally break free from Victor’s grasp, or will he once again become a pawn in the Newman family’s power plays? Can Adam convince Chelsea that their future is together, or will his persistence drive her further away? And what exactly does Damian have planned now that he’s decided to stay?
