Coronation Street is set for a week of intense drama as two of its beloved characters, David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) and Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan),

become victims of a terrifying hit-and-run. The shocking accident will leave both characters fighting for their lives, with fears mounting for Daisy’s unborn child.

David’s Life in Danger

The drama begins when David finds himself in deep trouble due to his past connections. Next month,

he will be threatened at knifepoint by one of Harvey Gaskell’s (Will Mellor) men, who chillingly reveals that the criminal wants him dead to cash in on his life insurance.

Although David manages to escape the immediate danger, his troubles are far from over.

Struggling to cope with the pressure, David turns to alcohol, and in a drunken state, he stumbles through the cobbled streets of Weatherfield.

But as he makes his way home, a speeding car comes hurtling towards him—putting his life in immediate jeopardy.

Daisy Caught in the Crossfire

Meanwhile, Daisy is dealing with her own personal turmoil. Tensions rise between her and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) when he confronts her over whether he is truly the father of her baby. The heated confrontation leaves Daisy shaken, and in a desperate bid to escape the situation, she rushes out of the Rovers Return and into the street—right into the path of the oncoming car.

In a tragic twist, Daisy and David are both struck down by the speeding vehicle, leaving them motionless on the ground as chaos erupts around them.

Residents Left in Shock

The horrifying accident sends shockwaves through Weatherfield as Nick Tilsley (Ben Price), Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), Daniel, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), and newcomer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) race out of the pub after hearing the commotion.

Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) is left devastated as she rushes to David’s side, only to find him bleeding profusely and unresponsive. Kit quickly dials for an ambulance as the severity of David’s injuries becomes clear.

Meanwhile, Jenny and Daniel tend to Daisy, who is lying unconscious in the street. Overcome with fear, they beg her to wake up, terrified not only for her life but also for the fate of her unborn child.

Will David and Daisy Survive?

As paramedics arrive at the scene, both David and Daisy’s conditions remain critical. The fate of Daisy’s baby hangs in the balance, and with David losing large amounts of blood, it remains uncertain whether he will survive the night.

The horrifying ordeal raises several pressing questions:

Who was behind the wheel of the speeding car?

Was this a tragic accident, or was David deliberately targeted as part of Harvey’s revenge plot?

Will Daisy recover, and if she does, will her unborn baby survive the impact?

With so many lives hanging in the balance, the aftermath of this devastating event is set to send shockwaves through Weatherfield in the coming weeks.

Charlotte Jordan’s Exit from Coronation Street

The drama surrounding Daisy’s accident comes amid reports that actress Charlotte Jordan has decided to leave Coronation Street after four years on the show. The 28-year-old has won over fans with her portrayal of the feisty and determined barmaid, making her departure all the more bittersweet.

While it remains to be seen how her exit will be handled, this shocking accident could mark the beginning of the end for Daisy Midgeley in Weatherfield.
