Coronation Street’s Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) is set to experience a potential romantic revival next week, as he finds himself at the heart of a new love interest.
After a prolonged dry spell in the romance department, Todd’s fortunes appear to be shifting following his attendance at a singles tea dance at the Chariot Square Hotel.
On Friday’s episode, Todd convinced Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who is still mourning the loss of his husband Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), to accompany him to the event.

Todd’s last brush with romance came in late 2023 when he developed feelings for Paul’s carer, Moses (Michael Fatogun). Speaking about Todd’s romantic future, actor Gareth Pierce hinted at exciting possibilities for his character. ‘I think there’s definitely a sense that we want to play a relationship story with Todd at some point in the near future,’ he shared with Digital Spy. ‘I’m definitely interested in what’s next for Todd, and I’m assured that there’s stuff to come.’
