On the February 18, 2025, episode of General Hospital, Valentine’s Day seemed full of promise, but for one couple, it turned into a complete letdown.

As couples across Port Charles celebrated the holiday of love,
Lucky and Elizabeth’s romantic evening quickly spiraled into disappointment, leaving viewers with more questions than answers.
A Valentine’s Day to Remember – Or Forget?

The episode opened with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) eagerly anticipating a peaceful Valentine’s Day with her husband, Lucky Spencer.

However, things weren’t as expected when the beloved character of Lucky, played by Jonathan Jackson, was temporarily replaced by Guy Wilson.

Wilson, known for his recast role as Will Horton on Days of Our Lives, took over the role for a brief period, leaving longtime GH fans to adjust to the change.
Lucky’s arrival at Elizabeth’s house kicked off the evening on a hopeful note. After a warm exchange of Valentine’s Day greetings with their children, Aiden (Colin Cassidy) and Tobias (Charlie Besso), the couple was left alone to enjoy the evening. They shared a slice of cake that Aiden had baked, and things seemed to take a romantic turn when Lucky complimented Elizabeth, telling her she was as beautiful as the day they first met. The chemistry between the two was undeniable, and viewers were on the edge of their seats, hoping for an LL2 moment that would mark a turning point in their relationship.
As expected, Lucky leaned in for a kiss, and Elizabeth happily returned it, leaving fans hopeful for the future of the couple. This moment of intimacy could have been a pivotal scene in their storyline, and the chemistry was definitely there. However, fans couldn’t help but feel a little deflated due to the recast, as the original energy of Lucky and Elizabeth’s relationship was somewhat diminished by the change in actors.

A Shocking Twist
Unfortunately, just as things seemed to be going smoothly, the night took a turn for the worse. After Lucky left, Elizabeth was left alone with her thoughts — and a slice of cake. But then, as she was cleaning up, she noticed Lucky had forgotten his slice of cake. Assuming he had returned for it, she answered the knock on the door, only to be faced with an unexpected and chilling surprise.
Standing in front of her was none other than Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), a dangerous figure from Port Charles’ dark underworld. This was a far cry from the romantic atmosphere Elizabeth had hoped for. Fans were left shocked as Cyrus’ ominous presence threatened to undo the moment of peace and joy that Elizabeth had been anticipating. His last known appearance involved him preparing a syringe with digitalis, and now, with his unexpected reappearance at Elizabeth’s door, fans were left to wonder if he was planning something far more sinister.
Love in the Air Elsewhere in Port Charles
While Lucky and Elizabeth’s Valentine’s Day hit a snag, other couples in Port Charles were enjoying more light-hearted celebrations. At The Savoy, several couples gathered to enjoy the festivities. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) introduced Lucas (Van Hansis) to a model he had arranged for him to meet. However, things took an unexpected turn when the evening took a sour note. Lucas, feeling isolated, ended up sharing a drink with Brad (Parry Shen), highlighting the complexities of their personal lives.

Meanwhile, Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) were enjoying their own romantic celebration at the club. Unbeknownst to Kai, Trina’s father, Curtis, owned The Savoy. When Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) arrived, Kai surprised his wife by taking the stage to sing a heartfelt song, creating a sweet moment of connection amidst the chaos.
Another pair of beloved GH characters, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Alexa Havins), had their own Valentine’s Day adventure. After a heart-to-heart conversation about their son, they ended up in an adorable cupcake fight. The playful moment saw frosting on Dante’s face and the couple mere inches apart, providing a moment of levity amid the emotional tension of the evening.

A Valentine’s Day Like No Other
Despite the twists and turns that unfolded, Valentine’s Day in Port Charles was far from traditional. While many couples shared moments of joy and connection, Lucky and Elizabeth’s evening was overshadowed by an ominous visitor and the disappointment of a recast. As the episode closed, fans were left questioning what Cyrus had in store for Elizabeth and how her evening would end.
