*The Young and the Restless* Recap: Billy’s Deception and Damian’s Departure

The February 13 episode of *The Young and the Restless* delivered intense drama, with Billy Abbott’s secretive business maneuvers raising eyebrows.

Meanwhile, Nate Hastings struggled with family tensions, as his cousins, Lily and Devon,

urged him to be wary of his newly discovered half-brother, Damian Kane.

Elsewhere, Damian made a major life decision, confiding in his friend Holden before deciding to leave Genoa City behind.

## **Billy’s Business Lies**

While in Paris, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) seemed irritated by Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) persistent calls.

When he finally got back to her, she excitedly revealed that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) had agreed to join their new company, Abbott Communications. Billy admitted that his decision to hire Daniel was largely influenced by her. However, he assured Phyllis that his business ambitions had nothing to do with taking revenge on Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Despite Billy’s reassurances, Phyllis’ enthusiasm about their venture wasn’t shared by her ex, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). When she told Nick about working with Daniel and Billy, he immediately expressed skepticism. Nick reminded Phyllis of Billy’s history of deception and warned her that he might not be as reformed as she believed.

Nick’s concerns seemed justified when Billy later made a secretive phone call. Once Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) was asleep, Billy reached out to an unknown contact, instructing them to conduct a deep dive into Chancellor-Winters, particularly focusing on Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) leadership decisions. This move strongly suggested that Billy wasn’t being completely honest about his true intentions.

## **Nate Faces Family Turmoil**

Meanwhile, at the penthouse, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) opened up to his cousins, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James), about the revelation that Damian Kane (Jermaine Rivers) was his half-brother. While Nate hoped to forge a connection with Damian, Lily and Devon remained skeptical, pointing out the red flags in Damian’s behavior.

Nate tried to justify Damian’s reluctance to bond, explaining that his half-brother might have assumed he was being manipulated because of his wealth and success. Devon, however, questioned why Nate was making so many excuses for a man who had shown little interest in their family.

Nate remained determined to reach out, hoping Damian would care enough to reconcile with their ailing mother, Amy (Valarie Pettiford). But Devon and Lily were less optimistic. Devon asked Nate to consider how he would feel if Damian continued to remain indifferent. Nate admitted that Damian’s cold attitude toward Amy was frustrating, especially since even Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) had shown some compassion for her situation.

## **Damian’s Decision to Leave**

Over at Crimson Lights, Damian confided in his longtime friend, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens). Struggling to process the unexpected family revelations, Damian admitted that he felt overwhelmed by the situation.

Holden offered a different perspective, suggesting that while Amy’s past actions may have been flawed, she likely had good intentions. Still, Damian found it difficult to move past his complicated emotions. Ultimately, Holden proposed a simple solution—walking away from it all and returning to Los Angeles.

After considering his options, Damian made his decision. He agreed with Holden’s advice and resolved to leave Genoa City behind, choosing distance over the complexities of a family he barely knew.

## **Audra’s Secret Past with Holden**

Shortly after Damian left, Audra ran into Holden at Crimson Lights. Their conversation hinted at a hidden connection between them. Audra quickly told Holden that whatever had happened between them in Los Angeles needed to remain buried.

Holden, however, reminded her that he had helped her navigate her troubles with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John). Though the specifics of their past were left unclear, his words suggested that he had done her a major favor. After a brief exchange, Holden agreed to keep their past under wraps, especially since he and Damian were leaving town.

## **A Chance Encounter at Society**

Before heading out of town, Damian made a quick stop at Society, where he had a brief but intriguing encounter. While picking up his food, he accidentally bumped into Lily. She offered a polite reminder to be more careful, unaware of his identity.

As Lily walked away, Damian couldn’t help but smile, seemingly captivated by their brief interaction. This moment could suggest that despite his decision to leave, there may still be unfinished business for him in Genoa City.

## **Final Thoughts**

Thursday’s episode of *The Young and the Restless* was packed with intrigue, deception, and emotional conflict. Billy’s secret investigation into Chancellor-Winters casts doubt on his true intentions, proving Nick’s concerns about him might be valid. Meanwhile, Nate’s desire to build a relationship with Damian was met with skepticism from Lily and Devon, and ultimately, Damian chose to leave Genoa City rather than embrace his newfound family.

With Billy’s hidden agenda and Damian’s departure, it’s clear that the drama in Genoa City is far from over. Fans can expect more twists as the truth inevitably comes to light. Will Billy’s secret plans be exposed? And could Damian’s story in Genoa City be unfinished after all? Stay tuned to see how it all unfolds.
