Summer Struggles to Forgive Sharon
Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) wasn’t exactly thrilled to run into Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) at Crimson Lights.
While ordering her coffee, Summer made it clear that she was still struggling with Sharon’s actions.
After hearing from Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) about Sharon’s exoneration, Summer wasn’t sure she could simply forgive and forget.
Sharon, aware of the damage she had caused while under the influence of drugs, admitted there wasn’t much she could say to fix things. As she tried to express her remorse, Summer remained cold, pointing out the harm done to Daniel and Lucy. Just then, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) arrived, stepping in to diffuse the tension.
Nick urged Summer to take her time processing everything but also to consider Sharon’s words. However, Summer refused to be pressured into forgiveness, insisting that Phyllis was also deeply hurt. Sharon, accepting that trust wouldn’t be restored overnight, quietly retreated to the patio while Summer sat elsewhere, visibly disappointed as Nick chose to follow Sharon instead.
Nick reassured Sharon that in time, people would move past their anger. However, Sharon feared that the only way she could truly make amends was by facing some form of punishment. Despite Nick’s efforts to convince her otherwise, Sharon remained unconvinced.
Claire and Summer Discuss Kyle’s Future
While Summer tried to clear her mind, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) arrived at Crimson Lights. The two had a tense conversation about Harrison’s school project, and Summer offered a reluctant apology for interfering with Claire’s dinner plans with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Claire brushed it off, but Summer insisted she must have been at least a little disappointed.
Claire assured her that Kyle’s son, Harrison, would always come first, and dinner with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) could be rescheduled. However, she admitted she was frustrated by Victor’s deep-seated grudge against Kyle and the Abbotts. Summer, having dealt with Victor’s disapproval before, advised Claire not to push too hard.
Summer noted that Kyle wasn’t optimistic about winning Victor over, suggesting that Claire might be fighting a losing battle. However, Claire remained determined, believing her relationship with Kyle was worth the effort. Before leaving for work, Summer thanked Claire for prioritizing family time and encouraged her to let things play out naturally.
Phyllis Worries About Sally’s Influence on Billy
Over at Society, Phyllis met with Daniel, eager to share an important decision. Daniel revealed that he was open to working with Billy at Abbott Communications, depending on the role Billy offered him. Phyllis was thrilled and immediately attempted to call Billy, but when he didn’t answer, she appeared distracted.
Sensing something was off, Daniel pressed Phyllis for the real reason behind her hesitation. She admitted that she and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) had a long history of animosity. Phyllis was concerned that Sally might manipulate Billy and, in turn, affect Daniel’s standing at Abbott Communications.
Daniel reminded Phyllis that Summer had already moved past her issues with Sally, suggesting she do the same. However, Phyllis remained convinced that Sally was nothing but trouble. Daniel then questioned if Phyllis had lingering feelings for Billy, prompting her to firmly deny any romantic interest. She insisted that Sally was a distraction at best and a destructive force at worst.
Their conversation shifted to a more emotional topic as Daniel reflected on how much he missed Heather. Phyllis comforted him, urging him to stay hopeful. However, their mood quickly soured when Nick and Sharon entered the restaurant.
Phyllis struggled to hide her disdain and made a sarcastic remark about checking Sharon’s pancakes for PCP. Though Daniel seemed embarrassed, Phyllis refused to back down. As she and Daniel left, Nick reminded Sharon that this kind of public judgment was likely the penance she had been expecting. Sharon, however, didn’t think it was enough.
Billy and Sally Explore Paris
Meanwhile, in Paris, Billy and Sally arrived at Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) apartment. Sally was grateful that Billy had arranged for her to stay in one of the guest rooms. The two playfully planned their day, enjoying each other’s company as they set off to explore the city.
However, their sightseeing was cut short when an unexpected rainstorm left them soaked. Laughing as they ran back to the apartment, their adventure took a more intimate turn. While drying off, the chemistry between them was undeniable.
Despite the fun they were having, Billy ignored a call from Phyllis, signaling that he wasn’t ready to let her interfere in his life. As he and Sally settled in for the evening, it became clear that their relationship was growing stronger.
