Soap fans believe Amelia Spencer will be Tom King’s next victim as he sets out to hurt Belle Dingle.
The teen portrayed by Daisy Campbell was seen with stars in her eyes as she grew closer than ever to the villain, who is seeking revenge on his wife Belle (played by Eden Taylor-Draper) after she put an end to their marriage over his abusive behaviour.
But while her torment was shown to ITV viewers at home in recent months, Emmerdale residents have no idea that Tom (James Chase) relentlessly bullied and abused Belle, going as far as to physically assault her in brutal scenes.
Yet in scenes aired this Tuesday, September 3, Tom King set his sights on Amelia Spencer and a confrontation in The Woolpack led Belle to find out about their budding romance.
Unfortunately, Belle struggled to receive support as Amelia was more interested in Tom’s lies, while viewers took to X, otherwise known as Twitter, convinced she was set for a nasty surprise as the sinister vet could “take advantage” of her.
“Why do I get an awful feeling Tom will take advantage of Amelia in a drunken state?”, one penned on the social media platform. Another feared: “Oh no is Tom after Amelia now.” A third chipped in: “And here begins the Amelia & Tom ick!!” A fourth was then concerned for baby Esther’s well-being: “I can’t bear the thought of him being with Amelia though and anywhere near that baby.”
But unbeknownst to Amelia, Tom is still determined to make Belle’s life a living nightmare as, after their altercation in the boozer, he tracked her down to issue a chilling threat, warning her this was only the beginning.
This comes after Tom King’s sick plan for Belle was revealed in recent spoilers, while she’s set to make a huge discovery that may help her expose Tom to the rest of the village. It’s a huge moment for Belle and shows her what he is capable of, but it could also be the catalyst for Tom’s ending.
Speaking about the episodes ahead, Belle star Eden Taylor-Draper teased the plot could be coming to an end. She said: “This is a new page in Belle’s life. It is a new chapter. It’s the start of Belle really taking matters into her own hands and finding strength and courage.”
“I think it is very important. Without saying the ending – I really enjoyed what the ending entailed.” On the moment Belle realises what Tom is up to, she spilled: “When he makes that snide comment and she realises he’s hacked into her laptop and I think that’s huge. Because obviously she knows what he’s capable of but this is on another level.” How will Tom’s downfall take place?
