Emmerdale is set for explosive scenes this September.

The hit ITV soap has released a new dramatic trailer teasing the upcoming drama, where it’s revealed that lives will hang in the balance as a devastating barn fire rages with people trapped inside. A synopsis teases: “Moira (Natalie J Robb) hasn’t been acting herself recently, but when Cain (Jeff Hordley) questions her behaviour her reaction ignites a devastating chain of events.

“Nate (Jurell Carter) and Tracy’s (Amy Walsh) relationship seems to be back on track, but will it all come crashing down before their fresh new start can even begin? And elsewhere, Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) torment from husband Tom (James Chase) continues. As he tightens his emotional grip will she be able to get the help she so desperately needs?”

In the trailer, it hints that evil abuser Tom could be one of the lives in danger as he’s seen bloodied on the floor from what appears to be an attack. Only recently the ITV soap has been tackling a coercive control storyline with Tom and Belle. In recent scenes, Tom targeted his estranged wife Belle once again in a sickening camera twist and even used their dog Piper against her.

After Belle told him she did not want to get back with him and was ending their marriage, after months of abuse, Tom was furious as he retaliated. In the tense trailer, it sees Belle say: “I love you so much and that love is never going to go away” before a smirking Tom is seen comforting his crying estranged wife, saying: “You look so beautiful when you cry.” It then dramatically cuts to a bloodied Tom falling to the ground while in another chilling moment he appears to be attacking Belle. Will Belle be okay and could Tom die this September?

It comes as Belle will be part of a special hour-long Emmerdale episode in upcoming scenes. The hit ITV soap will air a stylised episode focused upon Belle and the domestic abuse she’s been suffering at the hands of her evil husband Tom.
