Emmerdale fans are speculating that Nicola King, portrayed by Nicola Wheeler,

will be the one to rescue Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) from her abusive estranged husband Tom (James Chase).
As regular viewers of the ITV soap opera know, Tom has been tormenting his wife Belle with violent outbursts, manipulation, and attempts to isolate her from her loved ones.
Ever since Belle gathered the strength to end their marriage, she has been residing at their cottage while Tom moved in with his uncle Jimmy King (Nick Miles), and his wife Nicola.

In order to escape from Tom, Belle left the village after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), suggested she should visit her father Zak in Scotland.

However, upon Belle’s return home last week, Tom’s behaviour took a darker turn.

The vet has resorted to extreme measures to try and regain his wife’s love, including buying her a dream car, which she refused, and tragically running over Belle’s cherished dog Piper.
Adding to the chilling narrative, Tom has covertly installed cameras in Belle’s cottage, allowing him to monitor her every move from his mobile phone. In recent scenes, he watched Belle undress in the bathroom and sleep in their bed, reports the Manchester Evening News.
While Belle has previously confided in Charity about Tom’s behaviour, fans of the ITV soap opera believe Nicola will discover Tom spying on Belle from his phone, leading to the revelation of his abuse.

Emmerdale viewers have taken to Reddit to speculate on who will be the first to learn about Belle’s abuse. One fan posed the question: “Who do you think will be the first person Belle will tell about the abuse?”, leading to a flurry of theories.
A second suggested: “Curveball… Maybe Nicola. Thinking as Tom is living there she notices odd behaviour and speaks to Belle who then opens up.”

Another added their thoughts, saying: “Yeah I was wondering this maybe she’ll see Tom watching Belle on the cameras”, while someone else speculated, “Or gets suspicious that he disappears at night.”
However, another viewer suspects Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) will uncover the truth: “I think it will be Lydia because she has a way of making people feel safe confiding in her”, they concluded.
