Chance praised Summer for being a great Mom on the August 14 episode of The Young and the Restless. We get it. They have a key thing in common: Neither is the biological parent of a child they consider their own…Summer with Harrison and Chance with Dominic. Except Summer still has access to her boy, at least part-time. Abby and Devon seem to have all but cut Chance out of Dominic’s life. And it’s bound to only get worse now that they’re engaged. So, Chance might be getting desperate. There is little he can do about his own Dominic situation. So, could he go too far in helping Summer with Harrison?
All Mine
Summer (Allison Lanier) threatened to sue Kyle (Michael Mealor) for sole custody of Harrison (Redding Munsell — who recentl did this BTS). But, considering that Kyle is the bio dad, while Summer isn’t even his stepmother anymore — even though she claimed she adopted him in Italy — they both know that’s not going to happen.
Summer offered to compromise: Joint custody. If Kyle stops having anything to do with Audra (Zuleyka Silver). Yeah, that’s not only stupid — Audra never deals with Harrison — it’s also not going to happen, given Victor’s (Eric Braeden) plans with Glissade. So what’s a desperate, entitled, Mom to do?
Hit and Run
Chance (Conner Floyd — who spilled some BTS secrets) has an idea! Grab the kid and run. Yeah, it’ll be fine. Chance’s background is in undercover work. He knows how to disappear so that no one will ever find him. Them. (He also got it from his dad, Phillip, who faked his own death for decades.)
It’s the only way Summer will ever protect Harrison from…Audra? Yeah, sure, Audra. That’ll show Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James) who’s boss. Er, Kyle and Audra. Yeah. That’ll show them! (Maybe they can grab Dominic along the way. Nobody wants those kids to be only children….). Could you see this happening?
