Một bóng người phụ nữ ở phía trước ngôi làng Emmerdale

Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) wasn’t happy when Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) insisted that he sack Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) – and he’s squirming in a new Emmerdale video as Victoria confronts him over what happened.

The chef was previously in a relationship with Pollard’s grandson, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).

When Jacob’s dad David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) found out about the relationship he was devastated, as Victoria was his ex and he’d been hoping for a reconciliation. The heartbreak led to him leaving the Dales to spend time with his daughter and her mother in London, a move he later decided to make permanent.

This was hard enough for Eric to accept, but when Victoria later called time on her romance with Jacob, Pollard felt that she’d broken David’s heart and destroyed the family for nothing.

Even though Victoria had ended the relationship because she didn’t want Jacob putting her before his studies and his future career as a doctor, in Pollard’s mind she was heartless and cold.

He used the hold he had over Jai – because of knowing how ruthless Jai had been in getting rid of his father Amit (Anil Goutam) from the village – to get him to sack Victoria. He did this by hiding bits of broken glass in a pizza and calling her out for her careless and dangerous work.

In this clip, Eric has finally told Victoria what he did and when she spots Jai she’s ready for a confrontation.

At first he tries to pretend there’s no truth to the story and Eric imagined the whole thing. ‘Eric really isn’t a well man,’ he says, trying to blame the whole thing on Pollard’s Parkinson’s medication.

Victoria’s having none of that and offers him an ultimatum. Either he gives her her job back, along with a pay rise, or she’ll hire the most ruthless lawyer she can find and take him to the cleaners.

‘Any questions?’ she asks him. He doesn’t think about asking how she’s going to pay for these ruthless lawyers as he realises he’s beaten.

‘When can you start?’ he says.

Jai Sharma’s troubles only seem to be deepening in the latest episode of Emmerdale as Victoria confronts him about his role in her losing her job at The Hide. Despite Victoria ending her relationship with Jacob for valid reasons, Eric Pollard saw her actions as heartless and used his leverage over Jai to get him to sack her. The tension is thick as Jai realizes he’s backed into a corner and has no choice but to give in to Victoria’s demands. The fallout from Jai and Eric’s manipulation has far-reaching consequences, not just for Victoria but for the entire village.
