GH Spoilers: Jason resolved the tense misunderstanding with Sonny, revealing his secret alliance with the FBI and recounting his sacrificial three-year mission to liberate Carly from prison -

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returned earlier this year, fans were excited to see him reconcile with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) among others.

While Jason and Carly came together fairly quickly after Jason’s return, he’s only had a brief moment with Spinelli. But the biggest disappointment is the fact that Jason and Sonny remain at odds to this day.

When Jason revealed he had been working undercover for the FBI the whole time he was gone, Sonny was furious. He was insistent that Jason’s goal was to take him down.

It didn’t help that Ava Jerome (Maura West) was in Sonny’s ear, convincing him that Jason was out to get him.

In addition, Sonny’s medication has been altered so that he was only receiving about a quarter of his prescribed dosage.

Now, thanks to Ava, he’s taking 100% placebos. That means that Sonny is overly paranoid and prone to mood changes and violence.

FBI Agent John Cates (Adam Harrington) also arrived in Port Charles and made sure Jason remember why exactly he let his family believe he was dead for so long while he worked undercover for the FBI.

Cates and the FBI have in their possession a recording of Carly admitting that she was taking Sonny’s place as head of the Corinthos Crime Family during the time Sonny’s was believed to have died. In order to Carly out of prison, Jason sacrificed three years of his life!

Now that Carly has pretty much forced Cates to arrest her in order to free Jason from his control, the secret is out. Carly told Sonny exactly why Jason was working for the FBI.

That means that Sonny and Jason no longer have any issues between them, and a reconciliation and apologies should be forthcoming.

Although it may have to wait a short while longer until Sonny’s medication it restored to its normal strength. But even so, now that Sonny knows the truth it’s only a matter of time!
