ITV Emmerdale Tom King’s dark plan revealed as Belle Dingle split confirmed

Belle (Eden Taylor-Draper) called it quits with Tom (James Chase) this week following a shocking series of events during their trip to a Welsh cottage.
As fans will recall, Tom has been in control of Belle for months, abusing and gaslighting her.
And in Wednesday’s (July 24) emotional two-handed episode, Belle feared for her life as Tom continued to abuse her. She ended up making an escape and fled back to the village.

However, she later returned to her shared house with Tom to collect her belongings, only to find him waiting for her.

“I will kill you before I let you leave this house,” threatened Tom to Belle, as he physically tried to prevent her from leaving.

Belle was determined not to stay though, and was able to break free after she warned Tom that Cain would take revenge if he hurt her.
She then arrived at Lydia’s and told her family that her marriage was over. Later on, as she sat alone with mum Lisa’s urn, Tom was shown watching rather creepily from a distance.
But over in the soap next week, things are to set to take a darker turn. Spoilers reveal that Despite Belle and Tom’s split – Tom is still looming large, albeit carefully and from a distance.

As friends Vinny and Belle have a chat and a make up hug Tom watches glowering from a distance. Meanwhile, Tom starts to spin the narrative to his aunt Nicola how Vinny is clearly on the scene with Belle, deliberately painting Belle in a bad light.
Soon Nicola unwittingly finds herself offering Tom a roof over his head. Meanwhile, Tom suggests to Belle with him staying elsewhere, how she can move back into their old house given he has already paid the rent, making it seem like a generous offer.
However, unbeknownst to Belle Tom orchestrates a secret key when the locksmith changes the locks for her. Meanwhile alone after a mental health visit, Belle processes whether she is the victim of abuse.
