‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers confirm that some viewers are disappointed with the way that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been written lately.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna Warned Valentin Before The Feds Showed Up
Some fans felt it was hypocritical of her to allow Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to leave town with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlet Fernandez) and not face the consequences of the law. At the same time, she condemns Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) for his crimes.
It turns out that Anna is more emotionally driven than anyone knew. She was so touched by Charlotte’s apology for trashing her hotel room and sneaking into her apartment. Breaking into Anna’s apartment led to Anna taking shots at the teenager, believing that she was an intruder with a gun.
Anna was visibly moved by Charlotte’s words, which prompted her to stallJason Morgan (Steve Burton) from turning in the burner phone to John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington). This revealed Valentin as the head of Pikeman.
Anna rushed to Valentin’s house and warned him to contact Charlotte and get out of dodge because the FBI was about to come for him.
Valentin begged Anna to leave Port Charles and go with him, but she refused. There were touching moments between the two before Charlotte got to the house, and father and daughter took off.
The best part of the following scenes was Anna’s delighted face as she watched from her car when John barreled into Valentin’s home to apprehend him, but he was nowhere to be found.
It’s clear that Anna will always love Valentin despite claiming she was only warning him for Charlotte’s sake.
‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Anna Might Think Differently If She Knew The Truth
That being said, Anna might change her tune if she finds out what Valentin did to Sonny. Val arranged a deal with Sonny’s pharmacist to give him only a quarter dose of his bipolar medicine.
Anna may discover the truth and think differently about Valentin and Sonny. Valentin’s phone may contain clues that he tampered with Sonny’s prescription. She could quickly turn on Valentin if and when he contacts her.
Anna wanted to build a case against Sonny, but that could change when she learns that some of his actions were not his fault.
Sonny nearly beats Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to death. The beating took place at Brook Lynn Quartermaine‘s (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase‘s (Josh Swickard) wedding gathering. Perhaps the devil made him do it.
While it is true that Sonny is no Boy Scout. He may have thought twice about laying a finger on Dex had he been fully medicated.
If Anna learns about what Valentin did to Sonny, she could realize her mistake. She could search for him herself if he hasn’t let her know where he is by then.
Valentin and Anna may love each other, and Anna doesn’t want to hurt Charlotte, but she would likely understand that what he did was wrong.
Anna may have broken the law to warn Valentin, but her moral compass told her to do that. Would Anna’s conscience tell her something different if she knew that he sacrificed Sonny’s mental health for power and greed? Only time will tell.
